Bridge, Out Ahead - Credits

The bridge deal generator was developed by Chris Jones. Some features rely on software developed by others, and made available for others to use free of charge. I am grateful for their generosity.

Bo Haglund's Double Dummy Solver

John Goacher's Bridge Solver Online

Bridgebase Onlines Ltd's Handviewer

David Bailey and his Practice Bidding Scenarios influenced my thinking about handling large files with many deals. While my program only generates up to 64 deals at a time, the Deal Filter feature benefitted from discussions with David about selecting deals from very large files.

James "Jim" Logan, who plays out of the Bridge Club of Hendrson, Nevada, went all in on using the deal generator after attending one of my webinars. He is that most valuable type of user: one who uses the program heavily, who asks good questions, and who asks for features that I, a non-teacher, would not have thought of. When you use any of several features that make things easy and fluent, that feature was likely inspired by Jim's input. Thanks, Jim!

Last but far from least, I am also grateful to Shireen Mohandes of RealBridge and, at the time, of the ABTA, for some valuable feedback in early 2024 that inspired me to upgrade my program from a quirky toy for one user to something that more people could use. What I thought would be a casual chat to heap praise on my early efforts did involve a light dusting of praise, but it turned into a detailed, professional critique of the kind for which people pay high dollar. Thanks so much for opening my eyes to look-and-feel and usability, Shireen.
